Convert heavy industry vehicles into self-driving assets
BUILT TO SERVE
the unique challenges of heavy industry
AI POWERED AUTONOMY
Increasing demand for safer, zero-entry worksites, higher productivity and reducing costs are driving the need for innovative solutions across heavy industry. SafeAI is delivering that innovation with Autonomy 2.0.
Our Autonomous Solution is manufacturer and vehicle agnostic (mixed fleet ready) and supports an open Autonomous Management System that works seamlessly across different systems and infrastructure.
Powerful CPU and GPU computing power is installed on each vehicle for real time decision making requiring less reliance on server communication and human interaction.
Localized perception based sensor data collected from on-vehicle cameras, radar, & LiDAR is analyzed on-board to dynamically map the environment and to detect and react to obstacles in real time.
V2X (Vehicle to Everything) technology is embedded for personnel and vehicle communications and safety, delivering the next generation of connected worksites and collision avoidance capabilities.
How it works
Worksites are mapped in detail using LiDAR and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). Perceptual localization allows vehicles to understand where they are relative to the underlying map and continuously adapt in real time as conditions or environments change.
Autonomous vehicle actions are defined as part of on-site operational planning. AI determines how the vehicle executes defined activities while making intelligent and safe decisions in real time about how to reach each defined goal.
An onboard compute platform supporting SafeAI’s Autonomy Software, sends messages to a Drive-by-Wire system that controls all aspects of the vehicle's autonomous driving and operations.
Perception-driven system takes complex data gathered from its sensors to decipher what's around it. Tracking and predictive technology responds in real time with appropriate action to other vehicles, people, or path obstructions as they occur.
Safety components include external mode lights to display vehicle status as well as V2X (Vehicle to Everything) communication systems that allow autonomous vehicles to be aware of other vehicles — both autonomous and manned — in their surroundings.
